ANTHRAX Guitarist SPITZ: 'I Have Been Accepting The Love And Wonderful Gifts From Jesus'

April 20, 2006

ANTHRAX guitarist Dan Spitz has re-launched his official web site at www.SpitzWatch.com. A posting from Spitz at the site reads as follows:

"Well, watch aficionados and music lovers, take note that the worldwide watch magazine Tourneau Times that is put out by the largest high-end watch store in the world has printed a wonderful full-page article on me (Page1, Page2). It is all about movie/television/music stars and there timepieces. The magazine contains an interview I did a while back.

"I'm just so thankful to all the kind peeps that were involved in this article as well as my video interview that was done at their facility in N.Y.C. when the ANTHRAX reunion started. They actually presented me with an extremely expensive private stock type of mechanical timepiece they make under their own brand as a gift. It contains my favorite 'beater'-type of daily wear movement inside called an ETA/Val.7750 chronograph and is hand-decorated with what we call 'cotes de Geneve' decorations on all its internal silver plates. Also see some sick timepieces at their own website address, www.tourneau.com.

"As I prepare for the beginning of the European ANTHRAX tour, I just simply cannot help but to get really excited deep down inside about what will transpire upon my return a month or so from now to the States. The first new real ANTHRAX music in over thirteen years will begin to be made and then recorded/embedded into music history. The five of us in a small room eating a lot of takeout food once again.

"I have been accepting the love and wonderful gifts from Jesus of bringing my guitar playing abilities to new levels. I have been playing six hours a day minimum and have received incredible inspiration from a few new Paul Reed Smith prototype guitars I have been developing with them. I'll post some pictures soon of my new babies and have to say they are two of the finest instruments I have ever had the pleasure of touching. I am also starting to receive offers for side projects and permanent future musical endeavors (not of the metal kind) and will be on my way into un-chartered musical territory shortly.

"I hope to bring all my global friends a wonderful taste of some insane guitar playing and pieces of my soul that simply can not be showcased in the fast paced thrash metal genre of ANTHRAX."
